Drum Roll Please

Phew...

Summer school is officially over.

I have been in Texas for one day and a year.

To celebrate or not to celebrate...that is the question! :)

Don't celebrate. Don't celebrate!

In fact, I think you ought to mourn having been away from places like Colorado and the Northwest for a whole year. Put on some sackcloth and smear ashes on your face. Weap and wail and saturate yourself with non-Texas stuff!

Play John Denver for the next week. Watch a snowboarding video. Eat at Chipotle. Google Sasquatch. Drink a Coors. Practice fly fishing. Make some sopapillas (in memory of Casa Bonita). Read Don Miller. Have someone throw a large fish at you. Play Oregon Trail. Listen to Nirvana. Make snow in your blender. Throw the snow at a Texan with a Starter Jacket and jeans and tell him to learn to drive.

That ought to do it.

Celebrate for sure! You are half way done---technically this will be your last summer of studying (until your Doctorate starts, right?)

woo hoo! congrats for making it so long down there. i think that's a bigger feat than summer school =) enjoy your time off before it all starts again. and definitely listen to nirvana and make/throw snow at texans. that's some good advice there.

I think you should celebrate the wonders of TEXAS by wearing a cowboy hat, say to pick someone up from the airport! I think you should celebrate the friends the LORD has given you there, the people that you have met and the awesome guy you are dating, and the friends you will make! You should celebrate snowcones...the cheapest, sweetest, most refreshing beverage to counter the hot days. You should celebrate by eating good Mexican food! You should celebrate the LORD's guidance and direction bringing you to Baylor and celebrate the things He has in store you because of the preparation you received there!

I know Texans are arrogant and pretty "state-centered" and I'm a little biased, but you have plenty of reasons to celebrate.

I think Randy's comments sound like a great way to CELEBRATE your endurance and the survival of an entire year in this state. Also, you can celebrate the fact that we are MORE than half way through with the program and that you only have 9 more months to live here. I don't understand why Josh is so excited about you celebrating Texas though.... I thought he was from New Mexico ;)

Will you celebrate by sending me your email address...pronto? You have told me many times and I am consistent in forgetting it. Thanks. Congrats to you on a half job well done. Oh, and hang the our state flag above the American Flag...oh wait, that is what a Texan would do. Stay strong Miss...
