Where to start?

It is hard for me to know where to start with Lissa's wedding. I guess the best place to start is with the bride. She is utterly amazing. She is such a blessing in my life, and has always been a person who can make me laugh so much that I find myself crying, falling to the ground, and by the end of the day my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. We spent a lot of time remembering the 'good 'ol days' at George Fox including long road trips together, spidey tighties, Lissa dressing up in a CRAZY outfit to get me out of a blind date, her showing up in Waco as a surprise, and all our random trips together. I think I left the weekend wishing I could spend more time with Liss just so she would rub off on me. Her positive, low stress, kind and gentle spirit remind me of the type of person I want to be. Like I said she is pretty much amazing!

The wedding was beautiful, set in a garden in Oregon, complete with any flower you can imagine, a gazebo, river and waterfall. Lissa was glowing the entire day and a most beautiful bride! The wedding party was one of the best I have ever been a part of. Lissa and Nate are both so laid back, I'm not sure there was a moment of stress at all. Lissa's dress was stunning and I don't think she stopped smiling all day. The ceremony was sweet with harp music, a little saxophone, and Lissa and Nate walked down the aisle at the end to the song Better Together by Jack Johnson. The outdoor reception completed the evening with round tables covered in white table clothes with green ribbon crossed in the middle, and a bouquet of asparagas tied with ribbon as the center piece. A jazz band provided music throughout the evening, and it was great to see some friends from George Fox who I have not seen in a couple of years!

I'm sure I'll have more pictures from the wedding soon...I'll post more as they become available to me! I hope this gives a little glimpse into the day for those of you who were far away and have been asking for details of the wedding...

Hey Miss! Thanks for posting the story and pics from Lissa's wedding! Gives me that sweet nostalgic feeling. I was surprised to see all the Foxy bridesmaids! She must have done a good job keeping up with so many GFU friends. Beautiful dresses. Beautiful ladies. You do look like sisters in that photo. Love ya!
