Chillin'

I am truly chillin' in Waco, Texas this evening. Waco was hit with a bit of an ice storm, and some snow flurries. As you can imagine, I was grinning from ear to ear with the cool weather. The morning started out foggy and rainy and cold and I felt like I was back in Oregon again, and tonight I feel like I'm back in Colorado...so it has been a good day overall! Woo hoo!

The semester is ending and that of course is good and bad. It seriously has gone by a lot faster than I would have ever guessed, and I need to spend some time reflecting a little on the things I've learned and the people I have interacted with. Right now I have one final paper to turn in (due Friday) and that will close up the semester academically. I am going to be working the next few weeks and will be home for Christmas on the 17th.

Some of my crazy friends from the office, Dan, Cason, and Ashley, are all coming up for a few days before Christmas for some skiing and I am excited about that. I am sure they will enjoy the snow, and I know they will enjoy Colorado! :) After all, it is Texas' playground! But I am mostly looking forward to just having some downtime, to see some real snow, to hang out with the fam, possibly see you, and to read a book for fun! (imagine that!)

The snow is awesome right now in the mountains. There has been reports of shoulder deep powder! Crazy! Speaking of skiing... I don't know if you'll be back yet, but on Sat. Dec. 17th I am going up skiing with a bunch of friends for my birthday, and it would be awesome if you could make it. We always talked about skiing & boarding at the coffee shop, but we never did it, so we'll have to try to this winter! I bought my own skis and a season pass this year, so I am good to go at a moments notice!

Anyway, good luck with your final paper and hope your travel back to CO is safe!
